Yoruba Group To Buhari: Give Igboho Amnesty; Has Accepted To Drop His Agitation For Yoruba Nation In Exchange For Freedom

A pan Yoruba Group, Yoruba Youth Forum, YYF, has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to give amnesty to Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho.

The Group in a press statement by its President General, Comrade Abiodun Bolarinwa urged President Muhammadu Buhari to as father of the nation extend amnesty to Sunday Igboho as he has accepted to drop his agitation for Yoruba Nation.

“As a foremost Yoruba youth group in the country, Yoruba Youth Forum, YYF, is committed to ‘One Nigeria’ and peace and development of south-western region of the country. It is based on this, that we’re appealing to President Muhammadu Buhari to give amnesty to our son, Sunday Igboho as he has accepted to drop his agitation for Yoruba Nation and embrace dialogue with the government.

Comrade Bolarinwa who stated that he has visited Igboho in the Cotonou Prison where he is currently being held said that the activist has accepted to drop his agitation for Yoruba Nation and embrace dialogue with the government.

“I can tell you categorically that our son, Sunday Adeyemo known as Sunday Igboho has accepted to drop his agitation for Yoruba Nation and embrace dialogue with the government of Nigeria. I have personally gone to meet him in Cotonou prison to talk to him and he has accepted to drop his agitation. I use this medium to call on President Muhammadu Buhari to extend amnesty to Sunday Igboho as it is being extended to some individuals and groups in the country.”
