By Oyeniyi Esan
The presence of Oluwatobi Kongi popularly known as Jaja Money, in the entertainment industry of America, is birthed with a call to respect humanity, a voice shouting the need to promote peace and the quest to show genuine love to one another, especially for the Black race across the globe.

Jaja Money, initially known as Jaja Monkey, made this revelation during an interactive session with Team Report Africa that the message in his music is the quest to speak out for the weak, poor and oppressed in the society.

“I am victim of oppression because I grew up in the street where man eats man. I won’t keep quiet to the evil done by man to man. I know how it feels to be cheated, dehumanized and exploited. In my sojourn in life I discovered that man is the problem of mankind, why man can’t be kind to mankind?

This is the kindness I preach in my music
He noted that, “As a musician with an African background; my music stands for a philosophy richly rooted in the quest to place humanity in the heart of man. Why should I be shot twice in my lifetime? Why the rape? Why the corruption? Why the intolerance? These are some of the questions we to need to daily remind ourselves.

“I believe, as a musician, I have a duty to play in the making the world a beautiful place to live. A world where the concept of race, gender and class are not measures to define humanity. A world based on fairness; where injustice can be tamed. Every song of mine is a story of hope in the face of hopelessness.
