The scholarship will cover the sum total of all the educational expenses of the beneficiaries. Timileleyin Olaniraniran, an housemate at the His Herirage Home, an orphanage home located in Ibadan, is the pioneer beneficiary of this scholarship.

The CEO of HAO foundation, Mr. Gboyega Olawasanmi, made this disclosure while donating to the officials of His Heritage Home as regards the expenses of the beneficiary. He noted that the scholarship is needed for the betterment of the lives of the less privileged through education as the best investment.

“As one of the builders of the modern day Obafemi Awolowo University, he has channeled the success in the administration of Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s Free education policy in the then Western Region through Agriculture.”

“This was a period where money was not a barrier for those willing to go to school and with the support of people like Archbishop(Prof.) Adebayo Akinde, Prof.Wale Omole and Engr.(Mrs)Olu Maduka and others, the foundation has decided to contribute immensely to the educational system through empowerment of those not capable but willing to go school. This is our sincere contribution to the development of the country.” He concluded.

The coordinator of His Heritage Home, Mrs Temiloluwa Moronkeji, in her response towards to scholarship awarded to a member of the orphanage home noted that education in the life of a child is a necessary tool for bright future.

“ HAO foundation has offered scholarship to one of us, as we are told, is a continuation of the legacies of the founding fathers of our society, those who are conscious of the role of education in the lives of individuals. It is a well known fact that the  21stcentury is a period when education is part of the basic amenities needed for proper living.

“ We appreciate the kind gesture of the foundation over the years but the additional scholarship program recently extended to us is a challenge for others in the home to fight hard academically so they can benefit from the program which has be offered for the sake of humanity. We are deeply grateful for reducing the burden on the management of the orphanage home.” She concluded.
