Tinubu Heads To Guinea-Bissau Thursday To Attend Nation’s Independence Anniversary

President Bola Tinubu will join other heads of state and government in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau, to celebrate the country’s 50th independence anniversary and Armed Forces Day on Thursday.

Mr Tinubu’s media aide Ajuri Ngelale said this in a statement on Wednesday. He said the president would arrive in Bissau on Thursday for the ceremony.

Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Embalo will host the anniversary.

Guinea-Bissau marked its 50th independence anniversary on September 24, but the government had scheduled all celebrations for November 16.

Mr Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria on the same day.
