Nigerian youths have been charged to develop themselves by building capacity and connecting with the right set of people as this is the only way to succeed.
This advice was given by Reverend Dapo Adegboyega while speaking at a Young Peoples Forum which was held at Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church Headquarters in Ibadan.
The widely traveled minister of the gospel explained that many youths are making the same mistake that many of their parents make by living individualistic lives.
“Many of our parents did not achieve much despite living individualistic lives and for this to change, we have to chart a separate course. The first thing to do in a church is to bond.”
Reverend Dapo added that contrary to how it has been beliebed ober the years, the church isn’t for religion. According to him, there is no one without a family who does not have people watching out for them.
He noted further that being in a church family makes it even easier to take over other facets of life.
“Having the balance of a church family will help you to make impact when you go out into the secular world.”
In encouraging the youths that attended the Forum, Reverend Dapo made it known that location has no power to limit an individual whos does not limit himself or herself.
“Don’t let the negativity you hear or see deceive you into thinking you cannot succeed in your environment. There are still too many things to explore and succeed in. Put on your creative cap and allow yourself to excel.”
The man of God also made it known that formal education was not the only route to gaining knowledge. He said the internet has made it easy to access resources that can help on developing as an individual.
“There are things you can learn without getting into a formal school. That’s why you have resources like YouTube where you can learn anything and everything. You can learn coding, sewing, web design, crypto and forex trading and a lot of many other things with Youtube. All of these need no school.”
He charged them not to focus on how young they may be as no one is too young to do make moves that will lead to grand results, adding that there are many problems waiting to be solved and they are opportunities for someone to breakthrough.
“Build capacity! Connect with the right set of people. Success is not hard if only you get the right set of people around you.”
