Professor Wale Sulaiman Gives Scholarship To 250 Students In Kwara State

Professor Wale Sulaiman the Asiwaju Ewe of Ajase-Ipo Kingdom and the President of RNZ Foundation, has awarded categories of scholarships to some indigent students across the Sixteen Local Government of Kwara State.

The awards include sponsoring of Two hundred and fifty candidates for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB and Twelve Tertiary Education scholarships to the brilliant indigent students through his reputed RNZ Foundation.

The 2022 edition of the RNZ Scholars Programme was launched in the ancient city of Ajase-Ipo over the weekend.

During the event, Twelve out of the over Five hundred students who benefited from the 2021 RNZ Foundation JAMB Scholarship were awarded the RNZ Tertiary Education Scholarship to study in their chosen Universities and Polytechnics.

In a keynote address, Professor Wale Sulaiman, a philanthropist and renowned Neuro- Spinal Surgeon, reiterated his commitment to human capacity development, especially for the teeming youth through quality education.

While noting that the foundation had invested millions of Naira in securing careers of hundreds of underprivileged students in Kwara State to ease the financial burden on their parents, charged beneficiaries to remain focused.

According to the foundation public relations officer, Mr. Boladale Sodiq, “the RNZ Scholars Programme was introduced in 2021 with the aim to offer educational opportunities to bright but less privileged students in the state and to breed excellent scholars that would be agents of societal development in their various fields of study.”

“The maiden edition offerered JAMB scholarships to Five hindred students across the Sixteen LGAs of Kwara state.”

The RNZ Foundation, RNZ foundation, a non-profit organization operates as a corporate social responsibility unit of RNZ Global Ltd, a leading hospital development, operations and management company in Sun-Saharan African countries, under the benevolent leadership of Professor Wale Sulaiman and his wife Mrs. Patricia Sulaiman.

The event was attended by hundreds of beneficiary students and parents, RNZ coordinators and special guests including Alhaji Oladipo Kadiri, Chief Shawo of Ajase-Ipo Kingdom, Mr Rasheed Sulaiman, Mr. Tajudeen Muhammad, Mr. Sani Rasaq, Representative of Ajase-Ipo Decedent Union , Representative of Igbomina Youth Assembly and other well-wishers.
