Professor Okwilagwe Emerges New VC Of Westland University

A renowned professor of publishing and academic guru, Professor Oshiotse Andrew Okwilagwe has emerged the new Vice -Chancellor of Westland University, Iwo, Osun state.

His emergence as the new Vice-Chancellor of the institution was as a result of his exemplary performance and track records which saw him coming top among other professors who applied for the job.

Okwilagwe who hails from Jattu-Uzairue area of Edo State is a Professor at the Department of Library and Archival Studies, University of Ibadan.

He holds B.A., M.A. in Communication and Language Arts, MLS in Library, Archival and Information Studies, M.Litt and PhD in Publishing and Copyright Studies.

He studied at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and University of Stirling, Scotland, Okwilagwe enrolled and completed course work on the MA degree programme in Africa Studies, University of Ibadan.

Okwilagwe is an academic and as well as a professional publisher involved in teaching, research, consultancy and practical scholarly publishing.

He is happily married and blessed with children.
