The Oyo state Chapter of the National Association of Herbal Medicine Employers (NAHME) has congratulated Oba Olalekan Balogun as the new Olubadan of Ibadan.
The association in a press release signed by the Oyo State Chairman, Dr. Fatai Ayedun said that the ascension of Oba Balogun to the throne of Olubadan is the beginning of a new era for Ibadanland.
“Your sterling leadership qualities, particularly your tremendous skills, experience, knowledge and deep understanding of traditional institution are worthy of note. All these would no doubt bring development to Ibadanland.”
NAHME described Oba Balogun’s ascension to the throne of Olubadan as a reward for his patience over the years climbing the ladder after being enlisted into the chieftaincy line in 1986 as a Mogaji to reach the peak as the Olubadan 36 years later.
“The beauty of the rich and highly-respected traditional hierarchical leadership structure of Ibadanland has again affirmed itself with your ascension to the throne of Olubadan”.
“As the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, we hope and pray that you would deploy experience and robust leadership qualities to promote peace, unity and development of Ibadanland.”
The association also congratulated the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde on the successful coronation of Oba Olalekan Balogun as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
