Oni Promises Education Transformation, Demands Computers In Class

Sunday Oni, who is vying to represent the good people of Ibadan Southwest and Northwest Constituency 2 under the aegis of Labour Party, has promised leaders of Oke-Bola Community that his political ambition will focus more on education, as a bid to lay a good foundation for growth and development of the society.

He disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the community, on Wednesday, that his hopeful emergence is set to change the narrative of Leadership, and service to humanity with keen interest educational transformation.

According to him, “I am promising to build one school each in the two constituencies and champions the need for infrastructural renovation of our existing schools. The level at which our schools are destructively ignored by the concerned authorities has ruined education, and this has given the youth an edge to reasoning contest for the sake of prosperity.

“I am of the opinion that at least one computer in each class from primary to higher institutions. My political involvement is based in a serious need to change the narrative of education a tool of light, and hope for the future. We are building a kind of standard that will make our children compete intellectually with thier peers in China or America.

“We are hopeful that the future of the country depends largely on the children, and education remains the most potent weapon in thier hands as legacy of greatness. Any government that doesn’t respect the place of education is laying a foundation for destruction, darkness and poverty.
