President, Lagos Archdiocese of Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria, Ezugwu Chijioke gave the advice at a youth rally in ikeja ,to mark the 34th Archdiocesan Youth Day, which focuses on social issues like job creation and insecurity.
Chijioke explained that the event was aimed at reducing the menace of drug abuse and cultism among youths, adding that the sensitisation rally has a key role to play on the issue.
In his keynote address, Barrister Geoffrey Nwokolo, observed that youths remain the most vital segment of the society.
He added that if they must be the critical driver of national development, they must shun vices such as drug abuse, political thuggery, and militancy that are detrimental to their individual progress.
The rally kicked off from St Leo Catholic Church, Toyin Street through Computer Village and terminated at the Police College, Ikeja.
The rally was tagged “I am the servant of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word”
