My Music Is An Expression Of Freedom, Not For Money Says Jaja Money

Music is a powerful tool of expression as African musicians sing a different kind of song as quest for liberation remains a serious concern in Africa of the 21st century.

Oluwatobi Kongi popularly known as Jaja Money reveals the need to reorient the essence of music as a weapon for social change.

According to him, ” My music is an expression of my passion to be a voice of my people. As a child of the Black race having a Nigerian background is not a joke because of the deadly forms of oppression ruining the gaint in every African child. My goal is to ignite the gaints not the beasts of my race. How can I be a true freedom fighter while I’m in bondage ?

“As a freedom fighter using music as my weapon and I can’t reduce the rate of deaths among many people. So if I can’t cry for numerous number of precious lives Malaria claimed according to World Health Organization but I sang oppression having that at the back of my mind. I bitterly to express why should 300 thousand lives were lost in 2018 alone in my own country in that brainchild of mine.

“My musical struggle is the people’s struggle because my thematic concerns are my true intentions for every African child. To be freedom fighter without knowing the concept of freedom is the greatest lie affecting mankind.

” I am kind of musician honouring different competitions across the American soil without the need to be number one but to express, free as a voice for the black race because the focus is to appreciate the struggles of the African child without shouting on the government of my people but telling them that my people’s struggle worths celebration. ” he concludes.
