Let Your Life Live After You

HUMAN beings across all walks of life have been charged to live a life that will continue to be a positive reference point after departing this sinful world.

This admonition was given by Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist V.O. Ogunsanya in his sermon during the burial service of Superior Venerable Most Senior Evangelist Gabriel Oluwasanmi Fagbemi in Ode Ekiti at the weekend.

According to Asst. Ven. Sup. Evang. Ogunsanya, the late Fagbemi though departed to higher glory, has left indelible marks that have automatically immortalized him in different endeavours of life.

Ogunsanya pointed out that the deceased was a man of means who was very humble despite his high societal standing.

“Baba Fagbemi was humility personified. I once entered an office and saw him seated gently, not knowing he was a top officer in Nigeria Customs Service.”

Ogunsanya who is one of rhe high ranking ministers of the CCC in Ondo state recalled how the late G.O Fagbemi gave his all for the gospel every time.

According to him, Baba Fagbemi made sure the Celestial Church of Christ was planted wherever he was posted to during his active years in service.

“We cannot talk of the Celestial Church of Christ in Onitsha without mentioning his massive inputs in making sure it was well grounded and established. In fact, he made sure the gospel was spread through the Celestial Church of Christ wherever he was posted to.”

Evangelist Ogunsanya further challenged family members, friends and well wishers to live as if the next minute is not assured because God who owns our lives can all us to return to him anytime.

“You know where you should change your ways. It is not for anyone to judge you. Live well, so that you will be welcome to your creator with a crown of glory. Live well, so that we can say concerning you that you left a legacy.”

The Chairman of CCC Wonderland Grpup of Parishes in his tribute to the departed Baba Ijo said his name is already etched in gold in Celestial history because the story of many parishes all over the country will not be complete without mentioning the sacrificial acts of the deceased.

“We cannot complete the story of the Celestial Church of Christ, Wonderland Parish as well as other parishes like National HQ Makoko, Transit Camp Imeko City, CCC Kano Parish 1, CCC Central Parish Onitsha and Port Harcourt without mentioning the godly deeds and personal sacrifices of Baba Fagbemi. We only take solace in the fact that Baba has returned to his creator for eternal rest as stated in Psalm 116:7.”

Superior Venerable Most Senior Evangelist Gabriel Oluwasanmi Fagbemi is survived by a host of family members, children, among whom are Pastor Lola Adegboyega and grandchildren.
