Bolanle Raheem, a lawyer who was shot dead in an incident involving a police officer in Lagos, was pregnant.
The shooting incident occurred on Sunday when the deceased and her family members were returning from a Christmas service.
The incident has sparked widespread criticism, while the Lagos police command has said an assistant superintendent of police (ASP), and two other officers are currently in custody over the incident.
Also, Usman Baba, inspector-general of police, had ordered a speedy investigation and prosecution of the officer involved in the incident.
Facebook user, Adesina Mobarak Ademola, had earlier posted photographs of himself and the deceased, who looked pregnant, and said the pictures were taken days before the incident.
Speaking on the incident, Inibehe Effiong, human rights lawyer who visited the police station where the accused officers are attached to, confirmed that the deceased was pregnant.
