A group known as Oyo Democratic Forum, ODF has called on the leadership of African Democratic Congress, ADC in Oyo State to desist from parading Sunday Igboho as a factor that could assist them in winning the next month gubernatorial election in Oyo state.
ODF in a press release signed by its Chairman Adekunle Kazeem said that Sunday Igboho cannot in any way influence or win the forthcoming election for ADC in Oyo state.
“ADC in Oyo state has indeed made a mockery of democratic ideals by thinking that Sunday Igboho, a common thug who has earned a dirty reputation in thuggery and other criminal activities could help a party like ADC win any election in Oyo state.”
The Group added that ADC has made a big mistake by allowing a common thug to take over its campaign in Oyo state.
“Everybody in Oyo state today know that Sunday Igboho is an hoodlum who has earned a reputation in thuggery and other criminal activities and cannot win a common polling booth for ADC not to talk of winning an election for the party.”
Speaking further, the group said it was very shocked to see ADC using Sunday Igboho as one of its speakers at campaigns rallies.
“This is a man with no reputation other than one he gained from thuggery and other criminal exploits. No wonder former Governor of Oyo state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja who brought him into limelight does not want anything to do with him again. Now ADC is relying on a support of a common thug and a criminal like this to win an election. Too bad.”
It added: “If Nigeria is indeed a sane country; the likes of Sunday Igboho ought to be in prison for many criminal activities. Very soon Oyo Democratic Forum will petition relevant authorities on the criminal activities of this Sunday Igboho.”
