If there is a possibility of reincarnation, I pray that Kehinde Olaitan Latinwo Abdulrazak returns as my sister. Though it has been nine years since the cold hand of death snatched you away, my sister (Kehinde mi), hardly a day passes without me thinking of you; without me reflecting on the wonderful person you were; and without me remembering how you raised Olamide. I see you in his face every day.
(Ha! Oma se o! Igi to da kipe ni gbo.)
I hope that everyone in the family can hold their heads high. Kehinde would have wanted us to celebrate her life and speak about her achievements and our fond memories of her with smiles on our faces. I urge the entire family not to dwell on the significance of our loss, but instead to focus on praying and paying tribute to Kehinde’s remarkable life.
Kehinde was more than my sister; she was like a mother to me. Although she was my elder sister, she treated me with a respect that is hard to find among siblings. She was simply an angel; an easygoing woman who lit up every room she entered.
She brought smiles to the faces of everyone she encountered. She was beautiful, poised, warm, and genuine. She was a good wife to her husband and a devoted mother to her only daughter, Olapeju.
She always wore a smile and could brighten even the darkest days. Kehinde embodied kindness and compassion. She cared deeply for her family and friends, always willing to help them in any way she could. She was one of the most loving and caring individuals I have ever met.
Kehinde will always be remembered for her positive attitude, compassion, generosity, and love for life. My sister set an example for everyone she met on how to live fully. I am honored that Kehinde was my sister, and I will look back on our time together with fond memories. Kehinde, I will always remember you and cherish the moments we shared. Your memory will live on in my heart forever.
May God, in His infinite mercy, be with your daughter (Olapeju) in all her endeavors. I pray to Allah to grant you Aljanah firdaus.
