If there is possibility of reincarnation; I pray that Kehinde Olaitan Latinwo Abdulrazak still comes as my sister. Though it has been a year that the cold hand of death snatched you away my sister (Kehinde mi); hardly any day passes by without me thinking of you; without me thinking of a very good person you were; without me thinking of how you raised Ahmad. I see you in his face every day.
(Ha! Oma se o! Igi to da kipe ni gbo. )
I hope that everyone in the family can hold his or her heads high. Kehinde would have wanted us to celebrate her life and speak about her achievements and our fond memories of her with a smile on our faces. I urge the entire family not to dwell on the significant of our loss, but instead focus on praying and paying tribute to Kehinde’s remarkable life.
Kehinde was more than my sister; she was like my mother. Though she was my elder sister, she related to me with respect that is hard to get from any sister. She was simply an angel; an easygoing woman. She lit up every room that she ever entered. She brought a smile to the face of everyone she ever encountered. She was beautiful, poised, warm and genuine. She was a good wife to her husband and a good mother to her only daughter, Olapeju.
She always had a smile on her face and could brighten the darkest days. Kehinde was an angel with milk of human kindness. She was also a very compassionate person. She cared a lot for her family and friends and would do anything to help them. She was one of the most loving and caring people that I have ever met.
Kehinde will always be remembered for her positive attitude, compassion, generosity and love for life. My sister was an example to everyone she met of how to live life. I am honored that Kehinde was my sister and will look back on our time together with fond memories. Kehinde, I will always remember you and the time we spent together. Your memory will live on in my heart forever.
God will in his infinite mercy be with your daughter (Olapeju) in all her endeavors. I pray to Allah to grant you Aljanah firdaus.
