Estate Company, Mich Royal Denies Selling Olugbesan Family Land Illegally; Says Monies Realised From Sale Were Remitted Into Hazeem Gbolarunmi’s Account

The Chief Executive Officer of Mich Royal Company Limited, Prince Gbolagade Adeyemi JP has denied a report published on some online news websites and also some radio stations that he was selling the land belonging to Olugbesan family illegally.

Prince Adeyemi in a letter to Olubadan of Ibadanland and the executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde said that there was never a time he or his company encroached on anyone land not to talk of selling it illegally.

“Your imperial majesty sir, my attention has been drawn to a publication in which Olugbesan family of Oke-Agbeni accused me and my company, Mich Royal Company of selling their land illegally. I make it bold to step out of the dark to respond accordingly to the defamatory claim by Olugbesan family. I will not be a party to the Olugbesan family crisis and will not appreciate dragging a good name and reputation I have built for over two decades into public mud.”

“Your majesty, I got to know the Olugbesan Family sometimes around 2019 when one Mr Tunde introduced me to the then family head known as Alhaji Salauhudeen Durosomo Olugbesan (may his soul continue to rest in peace). In one of our discussions, Alhaji Salaudeen Durosomo informed me about the Olugbesan family land situate at Olugbesan Village, Ido Local Government Area, Ibadan measuring about 350 acres. I was instructed by Alhaji Salaudeen Durosomo to take measurement of the land and enter same for the purpose of sale. It is worthy of note that H.E Hazeeem Gbolarunmi who happens to be the known Mogaji’s of the Olugbesan family was always part of every discussion with the said Alhaji Salaudeen Durosomo.

“When discussions about Olugbesan family land got to a ripen stage, I demanded an instrument of power from the family and an irrevocable power of attorney was executed to me, donating powers to sell, alienate the Olugbesan family land and report to Mogaji H.E Hazeem Gbolarunmi. It is worthy of note that I have only carried out instructions as contained in the Power of Attorney executed by Alhaji Chief Gbolarunmi (Mogaji Olugbesan), Alh Salaudeen Durosomo Olugbesan (Baale Olugbesan) and Alh Suleiman Okunola Olugbesan (family secretary), all of the Olugbesan family dated the 15th day of October 2021 (copy of the power of attorney is herewith attached for your perusal ).

“Your majesty, all monies through Mich Royal Company on sales running to close to N30 million has been remitted into the account of his H.E Hazeem Gbolarunmi are on record and will be presented if called upon.”

“However, I started observing some shady game sometimes around 2022 when Chief Hazeem Gbolarunmi started using one man known as Femi Baale to sale the land without my consent nor the consent of Mich Royal Company.

“I spoke directly to H.E Hazeem Gbolarunmi about giving accounts of lands he sold without our knowledge which I later gathered is close to N100million; but he failed to give us the account.

“Let it be known here that late Chief Salaudeen Durosomo never sold or collected a kobo from the sales of Olugbesan Family land. All the money realised from the sales of Olugbesan Family by Mich Royal Company Limited were paid into the account of his H.E Hazeem Gbolarunmi. He personally sold others that Mich Royal Company Limited wasn’t involved.”

“Myself and my company has always played strict compliance to our Power of Attorney and at no material time have we deviated from same.
Up till date, we have on record that his Excellency Hazeem Gbolarunmi has received well over 100m on Olugbesan family land for its sale. It’s more disgusting that those he sold lands to are still challenged by his Excellency’s men led by Femi Adeoye aka femi Baale.”

“Mich Royal Company will for no reason conspire or connive to steal, cheat and or commit any fraudulent act on any land in Ibadan or anywhere on earth. We have built a name for well over two decades and we shall stand on our principles of trust.
We hereby debunk any allegation of fraud or criminal allegation of stealing from the Olugbesan family as the family can call to order their supposed Mogaji who is collecting money for their family properties since the day the power of attorney was executed.”

‘Kabiyesi, we believe in whatever resolution your majesty arrives at and we are willing to present documents to substantiate our position.”
