The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), Ekiti State chapter has adjudged as the best election that brought the new governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as good omen for the next year presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu come February 2023 as it would satisfy the aspiration of Nigerians for a consolidated democracy.
This was contained in a statement made available to The Dispatch online in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital by the CNPP Chairman, Prince Ayo Adelabu and the Secretary, Pastor Victor Akinola arising from a meeting of the Conference following the successive swearing in of the new governor of Ekiti state premised on the large turnout of people of notable personalities home and abroad which symbolizes Mr. governor’s wide acceptability by the Ekiti people.
The Conference congratulates the new governor Oyebanji, his Deputy Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye and commends all anchor groups and different stakeholders whose involvement in the process resulted in the successful conduct of the election and victory for the best candidate such as it is acceptable by the leading opposition party in the state despite all odds.
In a related development, the Conference described the emergence of the APC standard bearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the party’s candidate shows that the party is strongly poised to take over at the Federal level as the only man that is ready to offer bold of courageous leadership to bring the unity of Nigeria together if voted for.
The Conference added, now Nigeria is in dire need of Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is a proactive, pragmatic, effective and well informed with a workable blue print of better developmental goals to gives us the Nigeria of our dream.
While appreciating the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi for leaving behind good legacies that would stand the test of time, the Conference charged Governor Biodun Oyebanji to immediately swing into action.
According to CNPP, “This is not the time for political experimentation neither the time for religious sentiments, but time to put the right persons, with impeccable integrity into positions to move the state forward and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people. The group urged the new government not to focus on Ado-Ekiti township roads alone but to extend renovation of all dilapidated roads to all nooks and crannies of the state.
“We strongly admonished and advised your Excellency on the need for an all inclusive government to cushion the effect of winners takes all mentality”, the Conference stated.
