Hon. Chukwudi Ezeala, vying to represent the good people of Ibadan South West/North West Federal constituency under the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), has sent congratulatory message to Muslims across the country on this year’s festival, calling for religious tolerance.
Ezeala revealed this during a courtesy visit to Oke-Bola area of Ibadan South West of Oyo state, in honour of Eid-el-Kabri celebration with members of the community in a bid to sensitize the course of religious tolerance.
“Eid-el-Kabri remains an Islamic festival of love for Allah, especially in respect to show restraint in the face of persecution, suffering and chastisement. Islam, as preached in the purest form, is to spread the gospel of unity, love and peace.”
“Sacrificing of ram in place of human being based on the instructions of Allah reflects the simple truth that Islam respects and gives ultimate value to human lives, as against those involved in matters relating to religion.
“Nigeria is blessed with several human resources, and my governance by the grace of Allah embrace a series of inclusive system without preference to religion because we should appreciate humanity without bias. This festival has ignited our consciousness about valuing lives against all odds”, he concluded.
