Egypt Wins Right To Host 2019 AFCON

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has given Egypt the right to host the 32nd Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The decision was reached at the CAF executive committee meeting held on Tuesday at the Terrou-Bi Hotel in Dakar, Senegal.
A 16 to one vote by the executive committee members won Egypt the hosting rights.
It will be the fourth time Egypt will be hosting the continental championship.
The North African country hosted and won the tournament in 1986 and 2006.
The country also hosted the FIFA U17 World Cup finals in 1997 and the FIFA U20 World finals in 2009.
The 2019 AFCON will be the first to entertain 24 teams.
