DSS Wants Court Approval To Detain Sowore For 90 Days

The Department of State Services (DSS) has filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja seeking approval to keep Sowore Omoleye, the publisher of Sahara Reporters and convener of the #RevolutionNow for 90 days pending the conclusion of its investigation as it pursues a possible treason case against him.
The request formed the main relief in an ex-parte application filed by the DSS, FHC/ABJ/CS/ 915/19, which was argued on Tuesday by its lawyer, G. O. Agbadua.
After listening to Agbadua’s argument, Justice Taiwo Taiwo adjourned until Thursday for ruling saying he needed time to examine the exhibits filed along with the application.
Operatives of the DSS arrested Sowore, the 2019 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress on Saturday morning.
