The National President of the Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Chief (Dr.) Kolawole Adewoyin has urged members of the association and other stakeholders to disregard call for Annual General Meeting, (AGM) by the former IPMAN President, Engineer Sanusi Abdu Fari.
Chief Adewoyin in press statement said that Engineer Sanusi Abdu Fari is no longer the National President of the association and lack the power to organise any AGM after a judgment of a High Court sitting in Ibadan removed him and declared him, (Chief (Dr) Kolawole Adewoyin) as the authentic National President of IPMAN.
“It has come to our notice that Engineer Sanusi Abdu Fari who was removed by a High Court sitting in Ibadan last year is still parading himself as the National President of IPMAN. We have also gathered that he is planning to organise an AGM where he intends to announce a successor. Ordinary, we would not have reacted to the planned AGM by Engineer Sanusi Abdul Fari if not for some IPMAN members and other stakeholders who he is still deceiving that he is still the National President of IPMAN.”
Chief Adewoyin added that such action amounts to impersonation and contempt of the court by Engineer Sanusi Abdu Fari.
“We use this medium to call on Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, the Director General of State Security Service, Yusuf Magaji Bichi, members of IPMAN and other stakeholders to disregard the invitation to attend the planned AGM by Engineer Sanusi Abdu Fari. Such AGM is illegal before the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Chief Adewoyin also wishes members of IPMAN and other stakeholders Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance.
