COZA’s Fatoyinbo Returns To Police For Questioning After Securing Bail

Senior COZA pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo, has been released after meeting his bail conditions.
The pastor has, however, returned to the police for the continuation of the interrogation which started on Tuesday, August 27.
Busola Dakolo who accused Fatoyinbo of raping her was reportedly invited for an interview with the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), Mike Ogbizi The police have continued questioning the senior pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, over the rape allegations leveled against him by Busola Dakolo.
Though Fatoyinbo who is being interrogated by detectives from the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja was released in the early hours of Wednesday, August 28, he has returned to the FCID office for the continuation of the interrogation which commenced on Tuesday, August 27, The Nation reports.
Fatoyinbo was reportedly granted bail after meeting the bail conditions. The newspaper reports that an invitation was extended to Dakolo for an interview with the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), Mike Ogbizi.
“He was released in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday) but he is back to the Force CID. The witnesses we were expecting from Port Harcourt and others were also interviewed on Tuesday before his release.
At the end of the day, we granted him bail but he is back to Force CID now. “So, Fatoyinbo is back and we are still continuing our work and he is most likely going to still be grilled today,” the police spokesman, Frank Mba, was quoted to have said. Asked whether Ms. Dakolo was also invited for interrogation, he said: “She is at liberty to come to the FCID because it is a case involving her.”
Fatoyinbo was served bail hours after quizzing him over the rape allegation but spent the night in police custody before meeting his bail conditions in the early hours of Wednesday.
“He has been served bail but he is still with us. He will remain with us until he meets his bail conditions,” the police had said before Fatoyinbo met his bail conditions.
