Following the death of Tolulope Arotile, the young and first Yoruba female combat pilot in a road accident that occurred at Airforce base in Kaduna, the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC New Era has called for independent investigation into the way and manner the young officer died.
OPC in a statement signed by it’s National Public Relations officer, Comrade Adeshina Akinpelu described Arotile’s death as very unfortunate, calling for independent investigation into the way and manner the young officer died.
“The death of Tolulope Arotile is a big blow to Yoruba nation. Yoruba nation has just lost one of its young and promising youths in a most questionable way.”
OPC wondered how a young officer in her twenties and full of life could be said to have died in a road accident right inside an Airforce base in Kaduna. There is more to this than meet the eye,
“The untimely death Tolulope Arotile is a tragedy not only to her immediate family but to the entire Yoruba nation. Apart from the fact that we are calling for independent investigation into the death of the young officer; we will also go spiritual and invoke gods of Yorubaland to do justice to the death of Arotile for any possible foul play”.
Speaking further, OPC also appealed to President Muhammmadu Buhari and Airforce authorities to as a matter of urgency immortalise the young officer who has devoted her youthfulness to the service and protection of her mother’s land.
“Within a very short time, Tolulope Arotile’s sojourn on Earth is for protection of humanity. She has left a footprint on the sand of time. Our heart and prayers are with her immediate family at this difficult time.”
