
United States of America based philanthropist, Kola Akingbade and thousands of his supporters from Ekiti state have joined the National Action Council, NAC.
Kola, who is the son of late Ekiti politician and business man, Chief Clement Ladipo Akingbade of Igbara Odo, Ekiti State, while speaking at the official picking of membership form said that he decided to join the National Action Council because of the masses and zero tolerance to corruption ideology of the party and also in order to for him to further contribute his quota towards the development of the society.
“Of all the political parties in Nigeria; NAC is the only party that truly has the interests of Nigerians at heart and that is why today we are joining this ‘redemption train’. It’s already moving and we’re not leaving anybody behind. That is why I’m encouraging my fellow countrymen and women to join this moving train.”
Akingbade further promised to use his wealth of experience to move the party to greater heights.
Speaking at the official welcoming ceremony for new party members; the National Chairman of National Action Council, Dr Olapade Agoro said that he was happy and excited to welcome Kola Akingbade and his supporters to NAC.
“I must say that I’m happy and excited to have you and your supporters in the National Action Council. I urge you all to be law abiding and contribute your quotas toward the growth and development of National Action Council.”
It would be recalled that Kola Akingbade recently declared his intention to run for Nigeria’s president in 2019.
The United States of America based salesman and estate guru who announced his presidential ambition at his father’s mansion in Igbara Odo, Ekiti State said he wants to rescue Nigeria from corruption which has eaten deep into the fabric of the society.
While speaking to thousands of supporters and people of Igbara Odo, Kola Akingbade said that he was inspired to join the presidential race based on his conviction that he would bring about desired change to Nigeria as a whole.
According to him, those in leadership position in the country now don’t seem to have deeper understanding of how to govern a country like Nigeria that is richly blessed with both human and material resources.
“I’m declaring my presidential ambition today to bring about positive change to Nigeria. Those in leadership position in Nigeria now don’t seem to have deeper understanding of how to govern a country like Nigeria that is richly blessed with both human and material resources. I’m motivated by the fact that I have over the years researched and came up with solutions to some of the myriad problems facing Nigeria as a Nation. Today, I understand what our problems are in this country and I have the solution to every problem Nigeria has.”
Akingbade stated that if elected President in 2019; he would become a ‘war and economic president who will bring an end to the suffering of the masses in Nigeria.
“I will become a war and economic president if elected in 2019. As a ‘War President’, I will take war to those who believe that the life of an average Nigerian or ordinary man on the street doesn’t matter. I will bring an end to Nigeria’s insecurity and youth restiveness. As an ‘Economic President’; I will bring Nigeria out of it current economic travail. I will introduce taxation mainly for the elite who are living large and have mortgaged Nigeria’s resources. In one year, I will introduce economic policies that will provide employment for every Nigerian. My focus will be on economy, security, food, health and shelter for our people in Nigeria”.
Speaking further, the son of late Balogun of Igbara Odo said that in two years as Nigeria’s president, he will provide electricity to every nook and cranny of Nigeria.
Welcoming Kola Akingbade back home, the people of Igbara Odo who thronged late Clement Ladipo Akingbade’s massive mansion in Igbara Odo in their thousands, expressed joy and happiness that Kola Akingbade is filling the vacuum created by the demise of his father.
