No Hideouts For Hoodlums, Political Thugs In Ekiti-CP

As July 14 governorship election in Ekiti State draw near, the Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, Mr Bello Ahmed has sent a warning signal to those political thugs in the state to desist from such act.

Ahmed who gave this warning during an official courtesy visit by the executive members of Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN), Ekiti State chapter, said his command has brought the recent killings and other social vices in Ekiti state under control.

The CP maintained that necessary security measures have been put in place across the nooks and crannies of the state to checkmate the activites of political thugs and hoodlums.

According to him; “We are on top of the situation to bring it under control as regards the political class by the politicians as the state approach the July 14. We are assuring Ekiti people to go on their normal business and be law abiding.”

“No panicking, people should come out and cast their votes on July 14 because it’s their civic right and they must exercise it without fear or favour. No harassment or intimidation by anybody because Ekiti belong to all of us and her peace must be guaranteed”, he said.

The CP urged the OMPAN members to be honest, upright and do their proper findings of any information at their disposal before they start broadcast to the entire populace.
