2023: Students Endorse Barrister Lana For Governor

The ambition of the Social Democratic Party Governorship aspirant, Barrister Micheal Folorunsho Lana received a huge boost on Tuesday, when students pledged to work for his victory in the forthcoming general election.

The students under the aegis of Federation of Iwajowa Students Association (FISA) said their support for Barrister Lana was based on the fact that the SDP Guber aspirant has the required qualities to lead Oyo state to the greater heights.

The Association President, Comrade Siyanbade Victor made the declaration at an event organised by the group in Iwerele, Iwajowa Local Government, Oyo state.

Victor explained they decided to support Barrister Lana after careful evaluation of all the guber candidates in the state.

He said, the association believe that Barrister Lana would run a student-friendly government because his exploits in all sectors of governance, particularly the education sector indicated that he will do more than expectation if elected as the Governor.”

According to him, “it is no longer news that Nigeria will be going through general elections this year which the country is expected to witness another transition period on the political leadership of the most populous black nation of the world.”

“For this reason, we realised that this is the high time to get it right, and that is the major reason we are supporting Barrister Lana because we believe that his intellectual prowess, pedigree, vast experience, administrative acumen would have positive impact not only Oyo state but Nigeria at large.” Victor submitted.

While speaking at the ocassion, the guest speaker, Mr Bola Adelowo said the education sector in Oyo state is nothing to write home about. He admonished the SDP Guber aspirant to do his best if elected as the Governor.

Meanwhile, Barrister Lana addressed the congregats that he cannot seek for nothing short of a rosy future for the younger generation, he also promised to initiate numerous policies and programs for both students and youths.
