Ahead of the forthcoming general election, the Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, has flagged off house-to-house and door-to-door campaign in order to ensure total victory for President Muhammadu Buhari and all candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in Ekiti State.
Egbeyemi who kick started the house-to-house campaign in Odo Ado area of the city urged the electorate to elect APC candidates for Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly.
The Deputy Governor also urged the residents of Ado-Ekiti and the entire people of the state to vote massively for President Muhammadu Buhari at the February 16 poll saying “Ekiti will benefit immensely from the second term of the Buhari Presidency.”
According to a statement on Thursday signed by the Special Assistant (Media) to the Deputy Governor, Odunayo Ogunmola, the house-to-house campaign took Egbeyemi and his team to Ado-Ekiti Wards 1,2 and 3.
House of Representatives candidate for Ekiti Central 1, Mr. Sola Fatoba; House of Assembly candidates, Mr Oluwatoyin Lucas (Ado 1) and Mrs. Kemi Famuagun-Balogun (Ado 2) and other party leaders participated in the house-to-house campaign outreach.
The deputy governor thanked the residents of Ado Ado for their huge support for the APC during the 2018 governorship election urging them to replicate the feat at the February/March general elections.
Egbeyemi assured that all the electioneering promises made by Governor Kayode Fayemi will be fulfilled to the benefit of the Ekiti electorate who entrusted him with their mandate.
He used the forum to highlight the landmark achievements of Governor Fayemi within the first 100 days in office urging for more support for the state government to deliver more dividends of democracy.
The deputy governor charged APC members to conduct themselves peacefully throughout the period of campaigns leading to the general elections.
The campaign was coordinated by the APC Chairman in Ado-Ekiti council area, Hon. Mike Akinleye, other members of his executives and chairman of campaign committee, Alhaji Tunde Onipede and his members.
Party chieftains who accompanied the deputy governor included Alhaji Jinadu Ayodele, Hon. Sola Elesin, Hon. Tade Aluko, Hon. Taiwo David, Hon. Tosin Aluko, Elder Samuel Ogunsakin and Hon. Bosun Osaloni.
Others are Hon Sunday Ibitoye, Otunba Alowole, Otunba Ilesanmi, Pa David Adigun, Hon. Kehinde Olanipekun, Mr Femi Ologunja, among others.
